Today at the plot, the main focus was on cropping, mostly potatoes. The image shows all the potatoes we managed to dig up*. Given the weather conditions we’ve had to face this year with the heat and lack of rain, this isn’t a bad haul to be honest. It was divided up between the volunteers, with some eventually going to be distributed to the community.

*You can never guarantee picking all of the potatoes out of the ground so inevitably, we’re expecting a few ‘free’ ones to pop up at some point:)

Aside from this, there was some minor tidying up undertaken. As for the watering well, we’ve had a look at the weather forecast and it has forecast rain for tomorrow (Thursday 20.8) so, we decided to not water and let Mother Nature do the work for us tomorrow. Suffice to say that we’re keeping our fingers crossed that we’ve called this right…

The next official work session at the plot is on Saturday 5th September, starting at 2pm. Anyone who can come along to help out will be warmly welcomed:)
